Benefits of a Sous Vide Machine

Today I will be talking about a piece of equipment that everyone should have in their kitchen. A sous vide machine. This machine has a lot of benefits that will make your cooking experience top notch!

Lets start off with what a sous vide machine is;

Sous-vide is a method of cooking in which food is placed in a plastic pouch or a glass jar and cooked in a water bath for longer than usual cooking times at an accurately regulated temperature.

The temperature is much lower than usually used for cooking, typically around 55 to 60 °C for meat, higher for vegetables.

The intent is to cook the item evenly, ensuring that the inside is properly cooked without overcooking the outside, and to retain moisture.

This machine can cook a wide variety of proteins and cut cooking time which will give you more time to spend with your family or guest.

How to Chip in Golf

Today I will be talking about how to chip properly in golf. Follow the instructions below and you will be a pro in no time!

Ball Position: Directly off the big toe of the back foot.      

Clubface Position: Square to the target.

Stance: Narrow, feet almost together.

Weight Distribution: Slightly toward or on the front leg.

Hand Position: Move the grip forward as if in a forward press.        

Swing: Little effort is required.  Make certain that you shave the grass on the practice stroke.  Hold the finish with the chest and club facing the target directly.

Make sure to follow these steps in order to strengthen your chipping skills. Remember to practice with a purpose and have fun!

White Balsamic Honey Vinaigrette Recipe

A very popular item that I am always asked about is the recipe for our house dressing:

White Balsamic Honey Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • Dijon Mustard
  • Honey
  • White Balsamic Vinegar
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Olive Oil

Preparation:

  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 500ml White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 500ml Vegetable Oil
  • 500ml Olive Oil

Mix the ingredients together and voila! Homemade salad dressing that everyone in the family will enjoy.
